DENTAL SERVICES TREATED BY OUR DOCTOR

Before any treatment is recommended a risk assessment is done to determine the best course of action. What will work in one person’s mouth may not be as successful in another’s.

For example, Mary, 27, comes in faithfully every six months for a cleaning and exam and it seems as if she has new cavities every time! Whereas John, 45 years old, also comes in every six months for a cleaning and exam and has never had a cavity.

Clearly, the recommendations for these two people should be very different. The same rationale is used when assessing someone’s risk for periodontal disease.
